the old man and the sea is one of hemingway's most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. it played a great part in his winning the pulizer prize in 1953 and the 1954 novel prize for literature and confirmed his power and presence in the literary world. hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. besides the old man and the sea, i have read some of his other works, such as the sun also rises, a farewell to arms and the snow of kilimanijaro. but the old man and the sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.
i first read this book when i was in my fifteens. and now i remember it just as well as if i had read it yesterday.
pride and prejudice is a chefdoeuvre.
my first impression of this story was from screen.
it's long long ago, maybe before i can read english books. i don't remember which movie edition i had seen. but i was impressed by the music, the scenery and the costume. i was very favor of a section of music in its balls. it's pretty brisk, liked a wonderful song of a bird. regarding to the characters, i liked elizabeth, the heroine,though i didn't think she's beautiful. but she's smart. however, i didn't pay much attention to the plot. i thought it's so long that it made me impatient and bored. by now, i haven't read the whole story in english or its chinese version, either. i owe it to my prejudice.
in fact, i didn't understand the story at that time. i didn't know why it called pride and prejudice. of course someone was pride, but i didn't find where' s the prejudice. i thought it's normal, the way people treated each other in that. i considered prejudice would be very disgusting. but to the movie everthing was ok in my minds, except its length. now, i think i have understood more about it. i'm a prejudiced person so i can't find where's wrong. i merely like to do the things i like. everytime i meet somebody or something,my thinking about he or it all depends on my foregone experience and my mood of the time.

?玩偶之家》中的女主人娜拉表面上是一个未经世故开凿的青年妇女，一贯被人唤作“小鸟儿”、“小松鼠儿”，实际上上她性格善良而坚强，为了丈夫和家庭不惜忍辱负重，甚至准备牺牲自己的名誉。她因挽救丈夫的生命，曾经瞒着他向人借了一笔债；同时想给垂危的父亲省却烦恼，又冒名签了一个字。就是由于这件合情合理的行为，资产阶级的"不讲理的法律"却逼得她走投无路。更令她痛心的是，真相大白之后，最需要丈夫和她同舟共济、承担危局的时刻，她却发现自己为之作出牺牲的丈夫竟是一个虚伪而卑劣的市侩之人。可当敲诈之人寄回借据后，丈夫又假装大度原谅她。这一刻，她终于觉醒过来，认识到自己婚前不过是父亲的玩偶，婚后不过是丈夫的玩偶，从来就没有独立的人格。于是，她毅然决然抛弃丈夫和孩子，从囚笼似的家庭出走了。
是啊，娜拉走了，离开了那个玩偶一般的家。话剧落幕了，可人们的思索并未停止。娜拉走后又该怎样呢？
无数的人思考着这个问题，讨论过这个问题。鲁迅先生在一篇文章中谈了他的想法。“但从事理上推想起来，娜拉或者也实在只有两条路：不是堕落，就是回来。因为如果是一匹小鸟，则笼子里固然不自由，而一出笼门，外面便又有鹰，有猫，以及别的什么东西之类；倘使已经关得麻痹了翅子，忘却了飞翔，也诚然是无路可以走。还有一条，就是饿死了，但饿死已经离开了生活，更无所谓问题，所以也不是什么路。”

snoopy's name must be familiar to everyone. yes, it is for generations of children to bring laughter cartoon characters. he was witty and fanciful, often imagining the house as an airplane and himself as an ace pilot. even dreaming. once snoopy lay prone on his master: charles brown's good friend linus slept on his lap, and linus slept. all of a sudden, snoopy a carp, linus crashed awake. at this point, snoopy dreamed that it was driving the " fighter" suddenly, from the clouds emitted a fighter toward it. ?傲慢与偏见》总体上是讲的伊丽莎白与达西先生。故事情节跌宕起伏，让人觉得不可思议但又让人感觉故事从头到尾是那么的流畅。可以说，作者简?奥斯汀成功地写了一。个可能在现实生活中的事。在故事中，达西先生可以称为傲慢，也就是对陌生人没有礼貌;而伊丽莎白担当了偏见这个角色。让人知道：人不可能是十全十美的，就连伊丽莎白的父亲也有看错人的时候。
故事一开始，让人觉得达西先生很傲慢，一点不像他朋友彬格莱热情、大方，特别是在第一次舞会上，对他朋友给他介绍的伊丽莎白挑剔了一番，这让伊丽莎白很生气，但是她还是为她姐姐因为和彬格莱跳了两次舞而高兴。但故事读完，结局虽然是最好的，但总让人觉得伊丽莎白对达西先生的看法是有些过分的，不得不为达西先生的宽容赞叹。
在读的过程中，我们似乎就是伊丽莎白，在根据自己的第一印象和韦翰的虚词来评价并得出一个结论：达西先生是傲慢的，更是冷酷的，他只看得起上流人物，和他交往，有失身份;达西小姐也好不到哪里去。但经过几次的深入了解和仔细观察，伊丽莎白甚至我们都认为自己看错达西先生了，特别是达西先生尽力帮助伊丽莎白的妹妹丽迪雅和韦翰结婚。得到的教训是：不能只从别人口中的信息来评价一个人。着让我明白了：评价别人，不能过早的下结论，不能只从别人口中所说，最好要自己去观察了解一番后，再结合别人和他熟人的看法，才能用这种看法去与他相处，不然，可能会使双方都不高兴。还有，就是自己在与人出次见面时要尽量让对方留下一个好印象，因为这也是以后别人评价你的一个事例。不然，你可能会对他人有偏见。
在故事中，另外一个主角便是达西先生。他最初见伊丽莎白是在彬格莱举行的舞会上。当时，他对伊丽莎白冷漠无情，甚至这样说：“她(伊丽莎白)还可以，但还没有漂亮得打动我的心，目前我可没有兴趣去抬举那些受到别人冷眼看待的小姐……”后来，他费了好大的劲才让伊丽莎白不对他怀有任何偏见。这让我懂了：评价一个人不能太草率、太随便，这会弄得双方不欢而散，更倒霉的是以后你对他很热情只会自讨没趣，会让你尴尬得下不了台。
在整本书中，清醒的时间最长，也最让我佩服的人就是班纳特先生——伊丽莎白的父亲。他不像他太太那样没头脑;一遇到问题就不知所措;一有不顺心事就抱怨说是自己的神经出了问题。他看一个人，不象他太太那样认为别人有钱了不起。他有自己的原则，他会结合那个人的人品加以评价，如果没有他，可能伊丽莎白早以让她那没头脑的母亲嫁给巧舌如簧的柯林斯。他始终和伊丽莎白、吉英站在同一个立场上打退母亲一次次苦口婆心的劝说。但他也看错过人：当伊丽莎白向他说自己打算和达西先生结婚，他是了解到内情后才同意的，这说明，有些时候不要以为自己的观点一定是正确的，这里面可能还有你不了解的内情，不总要笑话那些和你看法不同的人。
评价一个人，可以说是很简单，但也可以说是很难。这也是一门学问，这只有我们的阅历增加才会懂。
