当珠穆朗玛峰上一片片雪花正悄然落下，当戈壁里的沙尘暴正咆哮着冲向防风林带时，我不禁赞叹祖国的鬼斧神刀，当西湖的湖面又变的烟雨朦胧，当大运河旁边的柳枝又随风飞舞，我看到了祖国的寸寸柔肠;当黄果树瀑布的水汽迎面扑来，当长江滚滚的江水正拍打着西陵陕的暗礁，我感到了祖国宏伟的气势。
美丽的中国是一幅五彩斑斓的壮美画卷;是一曲雄浑跌宕起伏的交响乐;是蓝天、白云、瀑布、山川、密林和弄潮儿;是农民犁下耕耘出的粒粒希望;是孩子心中最天真的童话故事;是诗人手中的毛笔下一行行浓墨重彩;是从土地里喷出的点点翠绿，是树木粗壮的枝干里勃发的生命;是人与同类、与环境、与自然之间的交汇融合。
在近代，曾经那容光焕发的祖国遍地腐不堪，战乱纷争，肆意洗涤着地大物博的中华。从圆明园的烧毁，到日本帝国主义的入侵。时代的变迁让它们依然厉厉在目，亲身体验到国破的危难。
曾经是万众引以为傲的圆明园，辉煌壮丽的建筑顷刻之间化为灰烬，南京_让繁华的南京变成了一座死城，从八国联军火烧圆明园到惨绝人寰的_，我们的人民仍处于水深火热之中。
在新中国成立之后，华夏儿女用短短__年的时间，将满目疮痍、百废待兴的东亚病夫建设成了一个繁荣富强的新兴大国，在中国乃至世界的发展使上谱写了一个又一个的奇迹。祖国的面貌发生了天翻地覆的变化，一座座高楼大厦拔地而起，一条条铁路犹如钢铁巨龙在山川、深海中穿梭。

我们的祖先是不怕牺牲的，在小学课本里我们就学到了黄继光用胸膛挡住了敌人的机枪，董存瑞用肩膀撑起炸药包，炸掉敌人的碉堡。为了让中国这个偏离轨道的国家重回正轨，涌现了多少伟大的革命者：热爱人民，绝不屈服的李大钊；学不成名誓不还的毛泽东；为中华之崛起而读书的周恩来。是这些前辈用双手造就了伟大的中华人民共和国。打江山容易，守江山难。这是革命者们誓死打下的江山，作为龙的传人，作为中国公民，我们应该扞卫自己的祖国，保护祖国的领土，保护祖国的国权。所以大家要同心协力，团结就是力量！
我们今天的中学生，是祖国的未来和希望，能做的不仅仅是节约一度电和一滴水的小事，我们还要关心祖国的安危，用努力学习的方式去报效祖国，因为少年强则国强。就日本与中国钓鱼岛事件来说吧，钓鱼岛从古至今便是中国领土，日本最近常在那里耍小动作，他敢有大的举动吗？我想小日本肯定不敢，就叫嚣罢了。因为中国已经不是以前的旧中国了，这条东方巨龙已在世界的东方崛起，过去挨打的日子已经一去不复返了。自从1964年巨龙头上飘起了一朵绚丽的蘑菇云，没错，中国军事在迅速发展，仅仅用了六年时间，便研制出了原子弹。这震惊了世界，中国人的潜力已经爆发。到了2013年，中国的第一艘航空母舰诞生了，这使中国军事步入了一个新的阶级。日本人畏惧着中国的强大，肯定不敢冒然行动的。
