hello, ladies and gentlemen. i’m li xin, from class 8 grade 1. today, my topic is, “what can i do for beijing olympic games?”
i am looking forward to the day’s coming--- august eighth 2008, the day beijing olympic games will be open, the day sports families gather in beijing, and the day all the chinese feel proud.
as a little host, i really want to be a volunteer. however, i am too young, but i can still do something for it.
firstly, as a chinese, i will welcome every friend from every part of the world. my smile will show my friendship, and the foreign friends are sure to know beijing better from the smile on my face.
next, i will study english harder. during the olympic games, i can communicate with the foreign friends in english and serve for them, such as to be an interpreter, to show them the way, and let them love beijing more from my kind help.
thirdly, i will learn more knowledge about beijing and the olympic games. in this way, i can
introduce beautiful beijing to foreign guests --- its long history, latest development and the wonderful future. further more, i’ll try to let them know more about our country by introducing chinese 5,000―year old history to them.

十二年前，爸爸、妈妈把我带到了这个世界，因为我是爸、妈的独生女，更是他们的心肝，所以理所当然地享受着爸、妈的关怀、给予和馈赠，从来没有认为有什么不妥，更没想过为爸妈分担点什么。是去年的那节主题班队会深深地触动了我的心灵，彻底改变了我。记得那节班队会的名字就叫《感恩父母，点亮真情》,在班队会舒缓的音乐声中，爸、妈关爱我的情景历历在目：
两年前，我得了一场病，爸妈背着我东奔西跑，到处求医，从他们焦急的神态中，从他们悉心的呵护中，我深深地体会到父母对我发自内心的爱。在我住院期间的一天傍晚，天很冷，外面的雪下得很大。爸爸下班后赶来给我送饭，可是我想吃饺子。他二话不说，放下手里提来的家常菜，迎着凛冽的大风，冒着漫天的飞雪又出去为我买饺子。过了好久，雪人似的爸爸回来了，身上的雪还没来得及掸掉就急切地问我：饿坏了吧?看着爸爸慈祥的面容，摸着爸爸冻得通红的双手，我感动得流泪了。
爸爸妈妈不仅关心着我的健康，更关心着我的成长。他们教我说话，教我走路，教我看书和写字，给我讲故事。他们是我的启蒙老师。在我上学以后，虽然爸爸妈妈工作很忙，但每天晚上总要问我在学校里学得怎么样，和同学相处得好不好，学习有没有困难等等，特别在刮风、下雨、下雪的天气，爸妈总是到学校接送我，生怕我淋着、冻着。每当我在学习上遇到困难时，他们总是耐心地帮助我，鼓励我不要害怕。记得我上三年级时的一天傍晚，我坐在餐桌上写作业，妈妈在炒菜。我有一道数学题怎么也不会做，一个人唉声叹气。妈妈注意到了，便跑过来耐心地给我指导。当我在她的指导下做出这道题时，一股焦味传来，妈妈这才想起锅中的菜。……十几年来，爸爸妈妈关心我的事说也说不完，道不尽。
去年的一天，我坐在沙发上，随意地拿起了果盘中的一个桔子。那桔子亮澄澄的，我三下五除二便剥掉了它的皮。突然想起了老师教育我们感恩的话，我呆了一呆，接着便将剥好的桔子一分为二，一半递给了妈妈，一半递给了爸爸。没有过多的言语，只见妈妈高兴得露出了甜蜜的微笑。而爸爸则开心地大声说：谢谢!我女儿剥桔子给我吃了!望着爸妈那令我难以置信的幸福模样，我突然发现：原来父母是那么容易感到满足。于是，我开始思索，在平凡的生活中，我能做的一些小事不也是感恩的行动吗?从那以后，我在学习上特别认真刻苦，因为我知道，我的点滴成绩都会给父母带来无限的快乐和幸福的满足，所以我要用优异的成绩回报父母。放学回家，做完作业，我就顺便拿起笤帚扫一扫地;吃完饭，我抢着帮妈妈洗洗碗;爸爸看报时，我为他倒上一杯热茶，早上起来，我自己叠起被子，自己整理房间……爸爸妈妈直夸我，说我长大了。

the story is about a boy. he lives on a small planet. he is the only person of the planet. he is a lonely prince. fortunately, a beautiful rose came in his life. they loved each other. but a little argument separated them. he left the planet which he lives, starts traveling. he went to many planets and met many different people. he likes to watch the sunset when he was sad. he found that people wanted happiness, but always pushed away happiness rudely.
at last, he understood how to love each other. love and life is a very
important thing. he is very regret. he wanted to return to the planet which he lives. but he didn’t know the road. he chose to drank snake venom end his life because he thought it will be able to cast off his bulky body to go back.
every time, when i read "the little prince", i always moved about it. in real life, we often busy in the whole day, such as a fly without soul. the passage of time, childhood away, we grew up and took away a lot of memories, but we also have an oasis in the heart.
